The precise daily dosage amount of Tongkat Ali extract has not been established. Gradually introduce TA to your system. Do not be in a hurry to increase your dosage too quickly. Directions for using Tongkat Ali 1:200 extract: For males, I recommend taking from 300 mg to 600 mg daily. Start by taking 300 mg (1 cap) for the first few days. Don't raise the dosage too quickly, 300 mg may be a high enough dosage for you. Females should take approximately 300 mg daily. Some users will need to take a higher daily dosage to bring about satisfying results. You will notice on the tongkatali.org label that they recommend taking 1200 mg (4 @ 300mg caps) of the 1:200 extract daily. I recommend taking the lowest possible dosage that brings about satisfying results. I am not a proponent of high doses. In time you will need to gradually figure out what works best for you. TA may need to build up in the system before effects can be realized. Taking TA extract with a meal may aid assimilation.

Start by taking Tongkat Ali extract twice as long as you are off of it. Example: Take Tongkat Ali for 1 week go off it for 4 days or take it for 2 weeks go off of it for 1 week etc. I have been taking TA for about 10 years, my personal dosage is 600 mg of TA approx. twice a week (it works for me). You need to cycle Tongkat Ali for the following reasons: Tongkat Ali's effects can build up in the system, your body may develop a natural tolerance to the dosage and it is necessary to allow your body to normalize. The right cycle and dosage is the key to having success with Tongkat Ali. After taking TA for some time, the normal OFF cycle may not be enough time to clear the TA's influence system. In my opinion, after taking TA for approx. 2-3 months it may be beneficial to go OFF of TA for approx. 1 month to give your body a break from use. These steps may benefit tolerance issues while allowing the body a chance to normalize properly.

Possible Side Effects

You should cut back on your dosage of Tongkat ali extract, increase your off time or discontinue use if you notice any of the following: irritability, a feeling of increased body temperature or any disruption in your nightly sleeping habits. If you are experiencing heart palpitations after using TA please discontinue use and consult with your doctor. When first taking Tongkat Ali, you may notice the following initial side effects: facial flushing, headache or testicular pressure. These initial side effects will subside in a few days.
